OpenXML not supported in MS Office 2007

It appears that there will be no support for OpenXML in MS Office 2007 : http://www.itprofessional.be/news.cfm?id=85524&mxp=197

So bringing support for ODF and PDF/a in their suite is the least thing Microsoft can do ... .
